Ethereum Layer 2 Chief Marketing Officer

An Ethereum Layer 2 incubated and launched by a major exchange. The only blockchain backed by a major Western exchange purpose-built for DeFi — a bridge that lets the user base move fluidly between centralized and decentralized finance.

They have surpassed $500M in TVL, with sharp growth since October 2025. The token itself has not yet launched: supply is capped at 1 billion with a permanent, governance-immutable cap, designed around utility rather than speculation. The first planned use case is a liquidity pool, with additional drops and integrations to follow in stages.

That combination — real capital already on the network, and a token generation event on the horizon — is exactly why this role exists now.

Hiring a Chief Marketing Officer to own the token launch narrative and ecosystem/developer growth marketing end to end — both, not either/or. This is not a hire to manage a marketing function; it's a hire to personally drive the story and the execution through the token generation event (TGE) and beyond, in an organization that is still building out its marketing bench.

What this role owns:

• Own the marketing narrative around the token launch — not the standard crypto playbook (leaderboards, airdrops, KOL and affiliate programs) that every project runs, but a distinctive story and approach.
• Drive ecosystem and developer growth marketing — turning new protocol deployments and integrations into visible momentum.
• Write and produce core content personally rather than outsourcing execution to an agency; the company wants marketing built in-house.
• Find real integration points with marketing and analytics resources, while operating as a genuinely separate, much smaller and faster organization.
• Evolve the narrative and campaign strategy continuously as the token moves from pre-launch through multiple planned drops and into maturity.

You'll be a fit if you are:

• DeFi-native. You understand this market natively — not a Web2 or TradFi marketing background applying conventional playbooks to crypto.
• A builder, not a manager. You'll write the operates like a small, scrappy startup, and
• Comfortable owning both brand and hands-on execution simultaneously — narrative, content, and ecosystem/dev growth all sit with you.
• Comfortable operating pre-TGE. You'll help shape a token launch, not just optimize one that already happened.
• Preferred background
• Marketing leadership at a crypto/DeFi company that has genuinely executed and grown over the last 6–9 months, even through a difficult market — not just one that raised well and marketed loudly.
• Direct experience marketing through an actual token launch or TGE is a strong plus, though not a strict requirement.
• Comfortable working in close proximity to a much larger, established adjacent brand while operating with a much smaller, faster internal team.
