St. Albert has been an essential part of my life for over 50 years. I have a desire and passion to give to the city and its residents the goodwill that previous citizens gave to me. I will give back through participation and volunteerism in the community. If elected, I will strive to keep taxes low, help our existing business community and work to grow St. Albert’s business and industrial base. Growth and change are essential to keep a community alive. We need to find a way to embrace change while at the same time respecting where we came from.
I will do my best to listen to what residents have to say, what there concerns are, and do my best to understand/learn why they are concerned. I want to know what residents are happy with, what we need to do more of, and understand/learn why they are happy. We often only hear about the things that are bad, we tend to take the good for granted. I hope that together we can start to celebrate the good together.
The phrase “Make St. Albert Great Again” was brought up in a discussion with a resident earlier this year. I asked what they were happy with? They were stumped, was there nothing that they were happy with, or were they so focused on being unhappy they couldn’t see the good? We don’t have to make St. Albert Great Again, St. Albert is already great. I love this city, I love the people in this city, and I want to help getting the love of the residents refocused to the greatness we have. My goal is to “Celebrate St. Albert!”
